The nitty-gritty things

Today's focus was exploring notational programs, particularly Sibelius. All the short cuts learnt become such a handy tool as someone who enjoys arranging music for students and ensemble groups, it saves a lot of time and energy (where they could be used to compose or arrange other things!)

We get it - notating music can get tedious!

Formatting which seems such a simple thing becomes a very important aspect in composing and resource making. No body likes to read from messy/inconsistently written scores so the exercise of transcribing "Promotion" composed by Elena Kats-Churning was a very helpful task in utilising all the tools from Sibelius to create neat scores efficiently.
