It's all about the format

Formatting may seem like the most tedious thing as there are so many ways of doing it but the real question is - is there the fastest or most easiest way?

In short, there isn't one way that may be the easiest for everyone, but there are certainly short cuts to use on applications and programs for us to get down what needs to be down on the page, of course the most efficient way suitable too!

Today's lecture was a very good summation of many tools and strategies which we could use to help us understand different images, video and audio formats. A very handy skill I learnt is video/tutorial editing in Screenflow. As a music educator we are constantly coming up with new ways of teaching and new things to teach about, so really, I felt like this was a very helpful session for us to brush up and build our skills in this area.

A few 'gadgets' I think are quite handy...

Pixabay - free AND good quality images free of copyright (very useful when we put together resources for our kids, we won't have to worry about using images and paying royalties!)

iBooks - excellent interactive resource for students to learn. Check out some free iBooks from Musica Viva here. Widgets, I find are a great way to enhance learning with the iBooks as kids aren't just reading but they are doing thing with it too! This video shows you an easy way to insert widgets in iBooks.
