Mobile Video Studio

With technology continually advancing and becoming such a prominent tool in our everyday lives, exposing our students with devices or equipment provides them an opportunity to connect some real world things into the classroom - how exciting!

In today's lecture we had the opportunity to explore and set up a mobile video studio. Imagine this - a recording studio but all in the space of your classroom. It was a lot more complicated than I though! Taking on the role of crew members, our class divided ourselves into groups to set up each part of the 'studio'.

By the end of the set up, we were able to record one of the favourites from the Disney songs of Lion King. It was a bunch of fun singing with the class and it was interesting to see how the lighting and sound quality turned out once we watched it back. During that process the most important piece of information I picked up was "the clap" - it syncs up everything!
